Agent Xtra (also known as Agentin Xtra in Germany) is Gex's love interest and partner that mainly appears in Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko, where Gex has to save her from Rez. She is also mentioned in the backstory of Gex: Enter The Gecko.

Background[]

Agent Xtra is briefly mentioned in the manual of Gex: Enter The Gecko as "Special Agent EXTRA." She works for the same agency that recruits Gex in the game's intro. Gex meets her in a limo and Xtra tells Gex that she loves television. After Enter the Gecko, Gex and Agent Xtra became partners. She plays a bigger role in the third game as Gex's love interest.

Involvement[]

She is a secret agent, head of the TV Terrorist Defense Unit, and Gex's love interest/partner. As stated above, she plays a bigger role in Deep Cover Gecko as she is kidnapped by Rez to get to Gex. Throughout the game, Gex constantly flirts with her and she repeatedly turns him down. After Gex rescues her from Rez, she accepts his love.

Trivia[]

  • Xtra original name

    Xtra original name

Agent Xtra was played by former Baywatch actress, Marliece Andrada. She played Lifeguard Sky Bergman, in Season 8 of the series. In fact, the news reporter in the intro references this by stating that Xtra was last seen "wearing 8 inch pumps and a red bathing suit".
  • According a PSS extreme magazine her original name was going to be Miss Manners
  • Agent Xtra is the only character in the series to be portrayed by a real actress and not a cartoon caricature.
  • Xtra's name is a reference to a term used in acting that refers to characters who have passive background roles.
  • There are two different endings that show what happens after Gex saves Xtra:
    • In the N64 version, Alfred appears and says that Gex and Agent Xtra got married and have gone on a long honeymoon cruise.
    • In the PlayStation version, Xtra goes back to Gex's mansion where they share a moment of passion and intimacy.
  • The iconic image of Gex covering Xtra's chest is a reference to Janet Jackson's appearance on the cover of Rolling Stone's September 1993 magazine.
